Back Tracking....to Panama

Well, trying to remember almost 4 years back...I knew I'd miss a trip or two and have to back track. Thankfully I didn't miss by much this time.

While we were in Costa Rica, we made a quick trip over to Bocas Del Toro Panama.
We hopped on a tiny puddle jumper airplane....scariest experience of my life....and landed in the Islands of Panama.
Tiny houses sat on the water and Islands dotted the waters. Our "car" for the weekend, was a small motor powered boat, a lot like a dingy.

The main Island was called Bocas Del Toro, where we stayed in a cheap but beautiful hotel called Hotel Olas. It sat on the edge of the water, and the entire deck of it sat over the water, with an entrance dock to get into your boat.

My favorite of the places we went to visit was called Red Frog Beach. A beautiful little beach, with children running up and down the sand, selling fresh home made empanadas and fresh cut coconuts.

This was the first place that Ayden, my little fish, practiced his swimming and took his first dunk under the water. He loves the water so much.

We spent as much time as possible in the ocean....which was easy when you are staying in Islands.

Our favorite discovery as we rode our little boat around, was a restaurant that sat completely in the water, on stilts. Called The Blue Coconut. It was more of a bar than a restaurant..but calling it a restaurant makes me feel better for spending so much time there with a baby. Haha.

There was amazing snorkeling and starfish everywhere. The Blue Coconut has hammocks that are half in the water, so you can take your refreshing drink, lay down and relax. Uplifting music was on constant play and the whole energy just made you want to dance.

A weekend was far too short of a time to spend at this beautiful location.

Did you know, you can travel with me too!
